The Proper Use of Ventilation Simulation Programs to Solve Real World Ventilation Problems at a Mine

The math and assumptions behind most ventilation simulation software programs are common for basic ventilation modeling. Proper ventilation modeling techniques and assumptions should be used. Although the modeling process can be automated to a degree, the ventilation model's basis will always be the ventilation engineer's responsibility. This presentation discusses the model assumptions, design process, and design sequence.
