SRK Peru Presenting Landscape Modeling with Geographical Information System

Technical paper to be presented at the ESRI Users Conference 2016 | Ver en español

Where: Hotel Sol de Oro
Lima, Peru
When: Thursday, April 21
GIS-based land modeling approaches, such as the VRM method, can be applied to the area of interest in order to correct systematization of geospatial data and facilitate the proper organization of baseline information. All of these systematization can enhance the cartographical display of different factors that are predominant in this ecoregion such as morphology, vegetation, hydrology, landscape, and the presence of natural scenic wilderness and human settlements.

These data may be used to develop thematic maps of topography, hydrology, satellite imagery, natural protected areas, archeology, future mine exploitation and social rural cluster settings.
